I bought some bedsocks in November for a Christmas gift which were not cheap at £11. By the end of April, they had worn so thin that they became unwearable. Sock shop asked me to return them only to be told that I would not be entitled to a refund because it was over 4 months since I had purchased them. I tried to explain that the socks were a Christmas gift and hadn't been opened and worn until the end of December. And why had I been troubled to return the socks if I wasn't going to be refunded anyway? In my view, the socks haven't lasted a reasonable amount of time and to be only offered a 10% discount on a future purchase is not an acceptable solution. I wouldn't recommend this company and I will never buy from them again.

I ordered a couple of quite expensive pairs of for a surprise present for my son, whose birthday is coming up this weekend. The parcel arrived today, he collected it from the postman being near to the front door when he arrived, and the package has 'Sock Shop' written all over it.So much for a surprise! Now I have the very annoying and time-consuming task of having to return it. I'm very very unimpressed.UPDATE:Now having read the reply from Sock Shop below, I'm absolutely dumbfounded at the sheer ignorance and stupidity of it. This is probably somebody in their first job (that's the impression given anyway) replying to somebody who has bought approximately 2000 items online over the last 2 years, and knows exactly what she's talking about, in that sock shop is the only brand that puts their name over every part of the packaging, multiple times. There is absolutely no indication that one should ask for plain packaging, which I've never had to do before anywhere else done and never had a problem with. This is the problem with so many online stores these days, particularly in the delivery organisation department, the staff are cheap, thoughtless, and verging on totally useless.

For a 74yr old lady who never wears hats I was encouraged by my daughter to buy one for when we go walking. I bought two Heat Holders, they arrived promptly and I have to say I am delighted with them, no more cold head. Would certainly recommend them.

Low quality products that are inferior even to the likes of Primark basics. They also have poor customer service

During this third lock down I have lots of sitting working from home. I was getting cold feet in more ways than one! I looked at various companies for wool socks, and found these babies. I have UK size 9 and a half, in a wide fitting. Generally I always order the largest size possible. The socks arrived within good time, The packaging was good with all the details including TOG rating, other available products, and materials used in construction. No wool but I wasn't disappointed, they are really warm and luxurious. The outside appears like a normal sock, the inside has a really thick fleece lining. You will have to consider tight boots or shoes, that fleece is really thick! I can recommend this company and the Heat Holder sock range.

Terrible company and even more terrible customer service. I paid for 24 hour delivery and my item didn’t arrive for 72 hours! The company refused to refund my delivery charge and were rude. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!

Terrible socks!Some arrived with holes. Others developed holes in big toe and a worn through sole within weeks. Waste of money.

Like others, I bought a 6-pack of bamboo socks. The first pair I wore developed holes on the first wear from normal everyday wear around the house. I didn't bother sending them back for a refund due to COVID and the fact I still had 5 other pairs, so put it down as just being a one-off, which happens.4 of the remaining 5 have been fine but I've worn another pair for the first time and the same thing has happened so these will be going in the bin.The others are fine for now but I don't expect them to last very long so I'm wearing them sparingly.

Fast delivery of my Heat Holder socks which are definitely needed at the minute

I had a problem with some socks purchased online. Upon contacting SockShop the response was very fast and a refund was promptly issued. Based upon the customer service I received this time round I would use again.

Really disappointed in the quality and fit.I ordered various shoe liners and trainer socks some bamboo.and all with heel grip (which I found didn’t grip) I would strongly recommend if you have small feet like I do size 4-5.only order socks that are sized 4-6 as the socks sized 4-8 do not stay in place.Spent a lot of money and still don’t have socks that stay in place under my vans ;(Will be returning for a refund.

Socks arrived very quickly and look to be good quality. Yes, the item does arrive in branded packaging so make sure that you're the one to collect the parcel if you're trying to hide it from someone in your house! Overall, a very pleasant experience, will shop here again.
